sigh... my back's achin... been standing frm 8.45am till ard 3+pm doing stuff... didn't get a chance to sit and i haven't eaten since breakfast at 7.45am! Waitin for a reply from Hayden to see if we're goin out for dinner or going straight for a movie... Last chance to try and take it easy before college officially starts on Tuesday... although there hasn't been any difference in the Holidays and normal Term days... had my second shower 'cos i was covered in dirt, grim, goo and soot (from the stupid bushfires) 'cos i was doing some labour out in the carpet... THE WEATHER WAS SO DRY IN THE ARVO and NOW IT LOOKS LIKE THERE'S GOING TO BE A DOWNPOUR... GRrrrrrr... anyway... while i was having a shower, i had a thought... maybe i should rename myself Holly! So anyday that is a good day i can call it a Holiday... Umm okok i know what u're thinkin... I'm lame... Dun mind me 'cos i'm tired... and hey... another long day tomorrow... Shoot in the city... Hope the weather's going to be alright :| Pls let there be nice weather...

hmmm... I've achieved my goal of the year! I FOUND OUT STEPHEN THOMAS' AGE!!! Wahahahahaha ok so now no one else knows... It was really nice of him to be so open about his life story in the interview... such a touching story... i almost cried when i was interviewing him...
I might have a job opportunity with my lecturer soon... when it does happen, i'll update... Bring on the jobs... I need the money

Sheesh... For the last week, i've done 38 n a 1/2 hrs in Ministry either on Cameras, Directing or Editing... that's almost half of the required 80hrs for the year... I'm so drained...
It really was a priviledge to be a camera crew for the Youth album... I get to put that in my show reel...
Guess what... the switcher decided it had enough 1hr before the whole conference started... went up in brown smoke and filled the whole room with Burnt Electrical and rubber smells... so we've had to switch on a MINI SWITCH when i say mini, i really mean mini... the buttons are the size of my fingers... we're usin the Tech Switch as a switcher.. how funny... Anyway, we've ordered in a new one... DS700... hahaha $23,000! Just as well we hired an OB truck in for the album recording... Oh had a chat to the owner of the truck... Peter's his name... think he's around 40+? and he mentioned he was going to Singapore in a few weeks for his honeymoon... Anyway... i asked him how much he's spent on his truck... and he said... Equipments in the truck... Just under a million, without the cost of the truck... I love it when i step into the truck... the smell of cables and equipment running... hmmm a tiny piece of heaven for me... So no nice dissolves in worship... all cuts... just like Hillsong's new youth album.. hahaha... we did well for the album recording... but it's so draining... 'cos of the added pressure to perform... i was so smashed yesterday that even taking Beroca didn't have any effect on me...
Ok so tomorrow's another round of directing and then editing in the arvo... then Monday i've got a shoot EVEN THOUGH IT'S ANZAC DAY and a public holiday... den Tuesday's catching up on work... Wednesday make up lessons and another shoot.... THursday and Friday... Cleaning out of studio and meeting, Saturday another shoot... Sunday another directing... SO MUCH OF A HOLIDAY... den Monday's back to term 2... and i'll have to power on for another 9 weeks before the next holiday which will prolly be taken up by some other stuff... Sigh...
sorry for my endless rambling...
Anyway thought i'd write now 'cos no motivation to do any other thing... dinner time's comin soon... been eating dinner at 5.30pm 'cos of the girls... who knows if i'm lucky tonite and it's my day, i'll get to go to china town for supper... 3wks without any hint of asian food.... :|

Oh i forgot... a bloody idiotic frog... STEPPED ON MY CAR LAST NITE... and left a trail of muddy prints... GRRr... n i just washed it last saturday....

I'm kinda tired... went to the Direct Factory outlets with Woody, Kaye and the two girls... very self-controlled today.. only got one rip-curl top for 20bucks... pretty cool... never bought anything like that before... looks like an engineer kinda shirt.. then went to the park at the Olympic Stadium for a picnic lunch.. Had a spinach roll... just taking a rest now before taking woody to the mall again to collect his shoes... Might go down to chinatown tonite for supper... 'cos i really miss asian food... AND... After tonite, my week's going to be full on... Directin or on cameras from 7.15am till about 10.00pm till Saturday...
Dunno what else to write... feelin abit pressured and homesick and everything else... and feel like i badly need a holiday before i reach breaking point really... the car's holdiing together really well... 2 weeks and i've used a quarter of a tank... prolly use another quater if i go into the city tonight but.. oh well... need abit of indulgence... and abit of get away from the northern beaches...
Ha... cant believe i survived first term...
Sigh... wonder what next term's going to be like... RESEARCH PAPERS...

Yesterday was such a long day... got to college at 6.50am and did more edits... chapel at 8... and between 9-12pm were meetings and making phone calls to get more meetings scheduled... or getting the comp stuff... SOMEONE SWAP THEIR LIVES WITH ME... JUST FOR ONE DAY? 12pm- 12.30pm i was doing the catalogue for the old archives and 12.30pm-1.15pm was meeting with Stephen at the same time i as viewing for the easter production... Had lunch at the same time... 1.15pm till about 5 was running around setting the studio up... 5-6.30pm was meeting for Girl life and 6.30pm-11pm was the "live-show" shoot... was so tired i couldn't really concentrate on driving... Thank God it was late and there were no cars... Poor Stephen left at 10.30pm and had to drive for an hr to get home... STEPHEN... JUST MOVE OUT OF THE SHIRE... When i was walkin from one building to another, STephen and Pam were having a meeting about my course and saw me. Spoke to them for a couple of minutes and Pam randomly asked me where i saw myself in say 5 yrs time... Stephen then asked if i wanted to marry an Aussie... hahaha Pam was saying they are payin me for the editing of the Easter Production... and they were meant to pay me for last yr's too... this yr's will depend on the number of sales... So looks like i'll be getting a bit of money coming my way...
Went back to college this morning around 9am and did a bit of editing... felt quite sick with a major headache and got a call about the hard-disk... So i left ard 12pm to get the hard-disk n go home for lunch... now sitting here waitin for a call from Therase 'cos she needs to print something... Had a paddle-pop earlier that brought back many memories... especially of my younger days
Hmm not bad... managed to finish editin one of tbe mini projects... and finished capturing for the Autumn in the House video...
Hmm Michael and Andrea will be coming for dinner tonite... we're having lamb roast... will have to be social again hahaa...
Maybe we should watch a movie tonite too... Kaye said we'll be playing Monopoly... haven't played that in ages...
Really need a holiday...
Next week's full on... and we've got another person stayin in the house from tomorrow for another week... Kaye and Simon's youth from NZ... Woody's his name... interesting.. he'll be here for the Phenomena conference... so i guess when i go in for phenomena he'll come with me? i don't know... see how things work... Youth live album recording next week too... and i'm on cameras... another priviledge and opportunity...

UN-FLIPPIN' BELIEVABLE... guess what.. the new camera and new computer has been approved... Managed to convince them into getting it leased... i think ever since i stepped into this college, they've spent quite abit of money... 'cos i keep challenging stuff... haha was just in the meeting with Stephen and was telling him about how we need to get a new external Hard disk 'cos i finished cutting the programme for easter n it's already taken up 90gB for just the first cut... he tried calling Pam and Jeff to try and get confirmation on it but couldn't get through...
He then went out to make a phone call and Pam walked pass.. poked her head in the room and said: "guess what... we just got your G5 approved" it didn't strike me then and i didn't realize what she meant... i got her to repeat what she said... and then once more SLOWLY... haha and she really did it slowly... I got so excited i almost screamed... HAhaha God answers prayers... i get access to a new G5 and my dream camera without having to pay for it! NICE ONE... good thing is the sch's getting it on a lease... so at the end, they can just upgrade... AND NOT WORRY ABOUT BEING STUCK WITH OLD TECHNOLOGY... OK... so i went to the bank during the lunch break... got some snakes for stephen 'cos i knew he'd want some... Oh i dun mean real snakes... i mean Lolly snakes... that guy threw one at me when i was unaware and it hurt... grrr...
we were walking to his car and i wanted to go back to the CCTV building and he asked what time i was leaving... told him i still had stuff to do and he made me promise that i went home soon... i disturbed him and said college was home and he said very clearly:"This is an order from me as your faculty head..." GO HOME... haha Oh well... came back home around 7 and had dinner... the family had burgers so that's what i had too... and a can of diet coke... yummy... unhealthy food.. hahaha...
Started with organizing meetings with they key department heads today... AND It's such a pain in the bottom... everyone doesn't have the same days free... sigh... also went through all the old archive tapes and did a catalogue... THE DUST MADE ME ITCH LIKE CRAZY...
My day didn't really stop from the start... so i'm pretty tired now...
ANother long day tomorrow... Chapel at 8am, Intern at 9am with Lots more to do...lunch frm 12-12.30pm, possibly with viewing of edits at the same time... after lunch till 5pm continue with intern stuff... 5-6.30pm Meeting for TV programme... 6.30pm-10pm scriptwriting class...

Hmmm i just realized i've been pretty good at keepin up with my blogs... guess it's like the only time i unwind... and now that i've done that... i'm sleepy but still have a pile of paperwork to complete before the night's over...

Takin an afternoon off before the busy Wednesday and THursday... got to sch at 6.30am this morning n managed to finish the first cut of the easter production... WOoohoo! Anyway... Sunday was the first cafe connect performance by Jeff(aka my principal aka Dr Bob aka Mr Blues dude) and all the other lecturers and main musicians (aka Disciples of groove) sure i think it would have been a good performance but i got mentioned... i would have been so embarrased it wouldn't be funny... 'cos it was one of my first yr's birthday and a few others... so they mentioned their names.. and Jeff mentioned that Therase(my first yr) is one of the taller students we've had in college and he went on to say that He had a third yr student who was quite short... All the students knew it was me he was refering to and the rest of the church members... maybe had no clue... Anyway... He said that he was trying to look for a date for me... but he had to be 6 foot 3 'cos he thought i'd look funny with a guy who's half a body length taller than me... GRRRrrrrr
*Phew* i'm glad i made the decision to stay home that night.. i would have wished that the ground could open up and swallow me... THANX JEFF...
Anyway... Monday was a breeze... went to college for 10mins to get some stuff... came back.. did up my assignments and prepared for today's class... Had to give a training session in Jeff's class and get assessed on it... Taught the class how to do an animation in 20mins... went over-time by 5mins but Jeff thought it was pretty good.. and it was worth waiting for another 5mins... he only mentioned that when i write my Session plan next time that i should write it in terms of what the student would be doing, not what I would be doing... guess everyone made that mistake 'cos it wasn't clear... Anyway looks like i did pretty well for that component..
Mark Kelsey's class was great... gonna talk to Jeff and Pam more about it...
When i find out more i'll post it here...
Jeff seems to like picking on me lately... Whenever he uses examples he'll always point to me...
Haiz... talking to Suci on MSN now... feelin homesick again... i miss chinese food... feel like eating char kuay teow, hor fun, indian rojak, chinese rojak...
Miss grandmother's porridge...or veges... Think we're having Tandoori chicken tonite... so not too bad... not pure asian though hahaha
Anywayz... Meeting with Stephen got cancelled today... *SULK* haha but it's ok... got re-scheduled to tomorrow at 4pm...

Oh yes i forgot... i went up to make an announcement today.. and as sucianto said, i shot myself in the foot... 'cos i was wearing the shirt that says: "I live in my own little world, but it's ok they know me there..." N Pam(aka my dean) had to say that i have the cutest shirt n read it out... just before she passed me the mike... only reason why they think it was funny is because they think I'm small BUT I'm NOTTTtttt...
grrr...

Argh... so many pple's birthday on today... Kaye's, Therase and Jon's... HAD 2 cakes already... n had waffles with cream, strawberry n ice cream for dinner... or tea as we call it here... had a ham sandwich in the afternoon and Hayden came round to say hi... 'cos no one's really seen me in college... hmm... Spent yesterday mornin doing paper work and packing the room... still have to go back to my old place n collect more stuff... went to sch at around 1pm.. to do some post production on the easter stuff... HUR HUR... THOUGHT IT WAS EASY 'COS IT WAS A 30min SHOW... WHAT A LOAD OF TOSS... spent about 5hrs... n only managed to finish editing 15mins worth of the programme... n it's not even the fine cut.. yea it's pretty close but still!!! grrr... looks like i really have to go in n edit in the nights... thought i could avoid that... BUT I DUN THINK SO MICHELLE...
and the shoot at the beach is cancelled tomorrow! well thank God i msged georgie... if not i would have left for the beach which is a 45mins drive away... n realized it wasn't on... n they didn't tell me beforehand...
well good.. dun have to spend money on petrol... pretty good... filled up on Tuesday to full n till today i only used 1 notch on the gauge... pretty impressive...
Anyway... i'll try doin some more paperwork n draw up my plan n speech for tuesday's training session that i'm getting assessed on...
LOOKIN FORWARD TO TUESDAY... 'cos i get to have a coffee session with Stephen Thomas... the person i admire most... well we'll be talking about sch work... and how my course is going n stuff... but i mean just think... sitting there with this amazing guy and hearing him talk... even if he's telling a joke or laughing at me... there's still so much wisdom coming out of him! i'm doin my scriptwriting assessment n interview on him... decided that Stephen is a seasoned soul....
i really aim to be like him... the way he handles things... and people and circumstances...
well it's pretty cool considering the fact that all the 3rd yr acting students think he adores me... 'cos he's been teaching them for 3 yrs n i've worked with him but only last yr in production and this yr he's my faculty head... but according to one of the students... she reckons stephen cares more about me than anyone else...
Sue pashley's another great woman i admire... she just has so much in her, so much capacity... if only i could have what Sue has and what Stephen has... I guess i could... just have to work hard... and see where this yr brings me too.. who knows i'll get my big break through that tv programme for MTV US...
and i shall go speak to Pam n Jeff about next yr too and see what they think i'm headed...
Oh well... maybe i'm thinking abit too much 'cos i've been ranting alot on this entry... FOR A CHANGE... neway... will update on tuesday after coffee... hmmm just thinking about it makes me happy n fuzzy...

Ok.. learnt a new phrase today... good comeback for me! thanx to roger! People always comment that i'm so small sized... whenever i carry the big equipments... Someone made that passing while i was trying to open the door with my hands full.. and roger made that comeback for me! pretty awesome. Anyway i'm sitting here with my dinner in college trying to do some editing... at least i got it started... Just thought i'd pop in to leave a note... i feel so bad about giving Stephen my cold... he came up to me today and sounded really bad... that's ok i made it up with a Lemon Tea Bag... haha just wat he needs... anyway back to editing... Oh yes... i had to paint sets today! quite funny... had an overall that didn't fit... so i didn't wear it n painted with my good clothes but i didn't get any paint on them... good thing... ok really going for now...

Ha! yummy dinners... Roast on the first, Stewed beef on the second and Roasted meatloaf on the 3rd... no more being envious of others during lunchbreak when i see pple eating ham sandwiches 'cos i can have them now... haha anyone else jealous?! which also means i'll appreciate chinese food even more when i get to eat it! hmm... anyway i'm going off now to watch Pay Check for one of my classes... gonna miss stir fry tomorrow night but that's alright 'cos i'm bringing leftover meatloafs for tea... haha... i've finally moved. Not fully settled yet but almost there 3/4 of all my stuff's here n in place. Feels good... no more posibility of stepping in poo! Well i'm finally back to blog... my comp's been down and only got reformated yesterday. Moved today so haven't got it set up yet but Simon and Kaye's been nice to let me use theirs for now. Supposed to do up my gantt chart and budget and stuff... but i feel so tired... my back's stuffed! been packing since 6.45am today and didn't really stop till 6pm for dinner... packing and moving and un-packing, all at the same time... plus i'm doing most of it alone... Simon and Kaye helped bring my bed and table over with a trailer... the rest's been moved over with my car... had a KFC twister combo for dinner... Simon and Kaye's now at the Rugby game and they've got Michael n Andrea over to babysit... so i might go over n join them soon... do a little socializing... Hope i can sleep tonight. Different location and environment and everything else... one thing i'm loving so far... MY OWN BATHROOM... ok not so much mine for now 'cos we've got another Japanese exchange student... but once she leaves, there'll be no more n i'll have it all to myself... muhahahaha... gotta do a little practice in backing into the driveway 'cos for now... it's still new... the space is very tight with just a little space on both sides of the mirrors... SCARY... Hmm i hope everyone's doing fine... i've been so busy and been down with the cold since Monday... the cold's going around the Northern Beaches and i got hit quite badly just because i didn't have much sleep in the last 3 wks... well... i hope when i'm all settled and feeling better, i'll be able to type more in here regularly... going of to be social now... till then... love u all!!!
