So.... I'm blogging from the new mac named Nelly...
She is a 2.33 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo brain, has 3gb of RAM, 100gb HDD with 7200rpm and is 17 inches wide....
She's a beauty... but VERY VERY FRAGILE in comparison to the old mac... so guess who's getting her some protective gear

Well.. a fragile laptop for a fragile owner... Stephen thinks I'm fragile... I think I'm fragile too... so bite me!

Anyway I'm 2 days from flying and have I packed? No....
I've got a few presents to bring back home.... but not a whole lot of clothes seeing that it is my plan to buy more from Singapore...
Hmmmm I lurrrrrvveee the laptop

Thanks Mum n Dad....
It runs sooooooooooooooooooooo much faster in comparison with the old Powerbook...
Shoots... i've upgraded from a 667Mhz Power PC G4 with 768mb RAM to a 2.33Ghz n 3gb RAM. No wonder I can feel the difference... its like comparing a 1985 Toyota Camry to a 2005 Toyota Camry... :)

Ah... its nice to have a laptop that actually doesn't have to be plugged into an AC just because of a dead battery... :)
Nite readers!!!

well well well...
First of all to all my readers, Merry Christmas...

Another year's gone... and this one's special because its my first Christmas away from the family... I've just experienced a traditional English Christmas in Australia with the Wallington Family and the Queens family (who are Simon's sister n brother in law's family).

I got up around 7.30, got to church at 8.30, had a one hr service from 9-10am, got to Christa's at 11am and exchanged pressies before the lunch...
For lunch, we had a glass of champange n wine, Watermelon/Prawn/Chilli Salad, Traditional Turkey with Cranberry and stuffings, Ham and roast vegies... Coffee/Tea/ Rocky Road/ Ginger Bread/ LOTS AND LOTS OF CHOCOLATE...

Then we played cricket in the back yard...
My first ever! and i'm quite a good bowler... and when Simon hit a bat, it flew right into my left tigh... still no bruising yet but it sure does hurt... not a whole lot... :)

We then went back indoors and had Tradition Christmas Pudding with BRandy butter, Brandy Cream, Custurd and Caramel Pecan Ice cream...
Also my first real Christmas pudding...

We then went bush walking... the ladies thought it might be a 45mins walk but the guys had other ideas... the hike on a dirt trail ended up taking 2 and a half hrs!!!
Got back to the wallingtons', had dinner, which was Roast Pork, Salad, more chocolate, Ginger bread, rocky road and Austrian Christmas cookies... then it was a game of Monopoly, in which my team is on the winning end... the game will be continued tomorrow... with or without me there. I haven't decided if I'm going to work..... Plus there is the boat races tomorrow...

Gosh... so many new experiences, the meeting of new people and of course, lots of fun and love... so I am blessed... Admitedly, it would be nice to be with family... but I guess u make do when u are overseas... Hey at least I got a chance to experience a traditional English Christmas... Maybe next year I might have an Aussie Christmas Experience... BBQ and Seafood I heard... we'll see... :)

Anywayz... bed time for me....
Good night and merry christmas to one and all... :)

An accident on christmas eve won't be very nice....
The weather's miserable and there was a massive downpour... was coming back from the shops and crossing the roseville bridge that was flooded from the rain and a bus drove right next to me, splashing water against my windscreen continuously... at the same time..... my brakes locked up and my car skidded. Lost control of the car and almost hit a bus but Thankfully nothing happened..... just wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too close for my liking... good thing the bus sped up a tiny bit..... there were a couple of cars behind me that were struggling as well... and to think i was only travelling 40km/h on an 80km/h zone.... the amount of water did not allow my car to go any fast than that.... which I think was a good thing....

So I'm ok... just very shaken.....
and to think tonight i have to drive down the gorge.... :(

PLS STOP RAINING??? only rain on the top of the Dams and on the farms... not in the city... PLS?

Hmmm the sound of Sirens... not a good thing...

Stephen had my car all day Friday 'cos his car was smokin after production on THursday night along the wakehurst Parkway... Because he had such a long drive to go, i let him have my car while his mechanic who is our friend took it away. His mechanic brought his car back to my place last night so that Stephen n I could swap cars. So anyway, Stephen got to mine around 12pm n we had a cup of tea and exchanged Christmas presents. And oh my gosh I love my prezzie.... He gave me a set of White Basic Bowls from Maxwell Williams and also a square serving dish from Maxwell Williams... Just what I wanted... every time i've been going to the shops, I would walk past them and be tempted to get a set but have never done so... Well... Now that I have the start of the collection, I will be getting more to add to it... and I won't use it until my new place...... or... maybe I might not be able to wait? Oh Heck.... we'll see what happens... Also... I'm glad he liked his present...

Hmm alright... time to go n get diiner for the crew.... we;ve got Guy Sebastian coming tonight for a Christmas Carol special. Not too much of a fan but hey.... christmas carols... :P

Till laters...
8 dyas till i gret back to singapore for a holiday...

ok... first up, forgive me if this blog sounds depressing....

Sat was cctv lunch for all the volunteers.... got to work at 10am to help out with the preparations. it went well and while we were cleaning up, i ask micah n leyla if it was said if i went n caught a movie alone... hahahaha Micah said only losers did that... n leyla laughed... i ended up getting an invite to their place for dinner.... which was cool...

I was getting bored with the christmas season around the corner.... for about the 4th time in the last week i;ve wanted to watch a movie... but couldnt find anyone to go with.... anyway I ended up taking up their offer.... had dinner at theirs with Chris Peterson, who is one of Micah's best friends... Dinner was magnificent....company was good.... and we ended up getting a movie from video ezy... we watched Click with Adam Sandler.... Brilliant plot! A movie worth owning... and one of Adam's better movies besides 50 first dates... and while we were at the shop, i ended up buying a movie called The Machinist. Havent watched it yet but it looked cool and it was cheap so... :)

I've been busy, up until yesterday when I had a day off.. wait... Sunday and i'm not at work in the morning? Now... i cant actually remember the last that happened.... wait.. i did go into work, just to drop something off, then headed to the mall and did some shopping... Came back home, had lunch, cleaned the house and then went to work at 5pm. And this morning, i got up n was feelin like crap 'cos i think i've got the flu..... runny nose... congested lungss.... great!

Had a photoshoot today with Dane for his production website... I thought it was going to be short shoot but turned out finishing only at 5.45pm...-_- full day of photo shoot and ended up not going into work... my nose is still stuffed and i'm tired... maybe i should head to bed...

But before i go, I actually shound get back to why i was originally blogging...

I used to sing the song I'll be home for christmas.... and i loved it... but never really meant much to me... it was just one of the many songs that would randomly get stuck in my head... anywayz, i was driving the other day and started singing it.... but I stopped myself from finishing that song.... only because I know this year it is not true.... I wont be home for Christmas... My first Christmas away... and u know what's depressing? the fact that i just realized that I am now actually old.... buying christmas presents for little kids... kids that belong to my friends... kids that are close to me... and more and more friends that are getting married....finished with studying, at least for now... plans of getting a mortgage, building up a life....

And i did not mention that I've been offered a full time job in CCC... my Temporary Residence shouldnt be a problem now...
and i also got a little note on my car windscreen yesterday that was a little strange......... it was a note from a so called secret admirer... but from the handwriting, i think it's a female friend of mine that is playing a prank on me..... it was not expected but nevertheless made me smile....

and oh my neighbour's just rang the door bell and invited me for dinner on Wednesday but we;ve got christmas production..... so i said Friday should be fine seeing that I wont have anything on that night.....
Tomorrow night I'm taking Christa's kids out to the movies... we're watching Charlotte's web... i hope its good.... and i wanna watch The Holiday too......
sigh... i cannot believe Christmas is here....which means its the end of the year.... now.. what have i done this year that i can actually be proud of?

meh... bedtime... but before i go,

Santa Clause is now known as Father Consumerism. I saw a poster at the shop with santa n some smart alec had posted a sticker next to his face, that stated Father Consumerism. heh

I've been up since 6.30am... which is now 2 hrs ago.
Wanted to say bye to Bonar's family as they left for the airport to go back to Indo.
I had just started getting used to having them around in the house!!! and now that they are gone and bonar's leaving in 2 days, the house will be so damn quiet! hopefully I don't get too home sick or depressed? 3 more weeks till i get back to Singapore for a short holiday...

I KNOW! I'LL KEEP MYSELF BUSY AT WORK!!! now dat's a plan....

Did not have to go in to work today as there's been a power cut in the entire area so that generators could be swapped. We need more power with the new buildings and what nots... so i'm off shopping with bonar today at the factory outlets...

there's staff party tonight at the crabtree's place... what should i wear i wonder?

Anyway back to the point of blogging... I'm already in the mood for Christmas n just realized it is kinda sad that I do not have a Christmas tree or the fact that I ONLY HAVE TWO FREAKIN CAROLS ON MY COMPUTER!!!! i've been listening to the same two songs on a repeat since i've been up... think i will go invest in a christmas cd today...
hmm... my first Christmas away from the family... and oh it's dad's birthday today...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD! THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING U'VE DONE...

Oh crap... i've got a headache... think its finally time for some breakfast???

Laters.

So tonite was graduation...
The first pioneer graduates of SCA's Degree Program...
which means I am now a free woman with a degree in hand...
I walked across stage, shook the Dr's hand and he told me he was proud of my achievements... Made me feel like an important person for that split second... it's kinda scary when the big boss knows you and says that...
The ceremony was like the usual... although, it was a great thing to see the college grow in numbers every year...
Beth n Andrew came to give me support which was very very nice... and they brought little Zachariah... who turns 1 next week!
Also, it is Beth n Andrew's wedding anniversary tomorrow...

After the ceremony, the forth years went out for dinner at Glenrose... we had a chinese banquet dinner which was quite nice... Beth, Andrew n Zach came along cos it was meant to be a celebration for Zach's birthday too...
Gosh he's grown so big... He's so talkative and active... and he clearly enjoys his food... no... not baby food... he had the same kind of food we had. And he loved his present which was a little ride-on car that could be converted into a scooter... It prolly will last him a couple of years at least, seeing that he's just learnt how to stand up.

I got a card from Beth n Andrew for graduation too.. and I thought I'd type it out here for everyone to see too...

Be prouod on this day
for the things you've accomplised,
the way you have grown,
and the goals you have met.

Look now to the future
and face it with courage,
and don't waste a minute
of life on regret.
For the future you'll have
will be just what you make it-
be true to yourself
as you follow your star,
For you have the power
if you choose to use it
to reach any dream,
so remember - reach far!

Annonymous

Beautiful isn't it. I'll remember that...
Hahaha we all got fortune cookies after dinner and mine said this:

Adversities do not build character. It reveals it.

hmmm :)
anyway time to move on to creating a christmas prezzie...
I think i've finished all the christmas shopping, can't think of anyone else to get prezzies for....
Just need to wrap them up now.... Alrighty.... back to creating...
I'll have photos up hopefully tomorrow...
