Hmm been awhile... life's even more hectic now that college has started... it's wierd not studying... Last weekend, my connect group went to Nelson's bay for a short holiday as a farewell to our beloved Lise who's off to Holland. We've done life together for 4 years and sure it is sad but we just have to keep reminding ourselves that it is not goodbye but see u later. Besides... one has to go forth and do what they are meant to be doing, rather than staying in comfort but not feeling fulfilled or reaching one's full potential... Now... saying that, does that apply to me? I hope I am in the right position... it's a little difficult to see now because its tough... but maybe i need to go through this tunnel before I can get to the next destination... i just hope I am in the right place and doing the right thing...
The holiday was good... I finally got to go to the beach after 2 years... and to think I live on the northern beaches... shame I know... anyway... there was the spa... beach... monopoly... and cooking... Everyone put in effort and it was a great time away... and yes i got burnt... just like a roasted pig... guess it was timely seeing that when we went away it was the eve of CNY and this year's the year of the pig... the connect group got a cultural experience 'cos I brought with me steamboat and all the traditional steamboat food.... we had lots of leftovers though...
Here are some pictures from the week... I'll get more from the holiday when i can...
The Day the Queens came to Sydney and caused massive gridlocks in the city, both traffic and human jams...
Queen Elizabeth 2, the smaller of 2 ships

Queen Mary 2, the massive 23storey high cruizeliner, 3 times the size of the Titanic...

The view of the city while we walked through the botanic gardens from circular quay to get to Mrs Macquarie Chair's point where everyone tried to get a glimpse of the ship

Lise n the roasted Pig

The gals on an advanture

its now 9.40pm...More laterz... back to work...

Woohoo!!!! I got the car today.... brilliant brilliant car... I feel safe now.... Still trying to get used to central locking... and not being able to rest my hands on the handbrakes... but loving the fact that I now have so many places to keep things... I can leave the office keys in the car n not carry it around.... I can put my drinks in the Drink holder! Only bad thing so far about the car is that I cant adjust the seat belt height and it was resting against the flesh of my neck but I've now bought a seatbelt cover so I do not get cut. Anyway.... here are a couple of photos... couldnt take anymore because of the miserable weather in Sydney....
Enjoy...

So.... its been another long week... with many many hrs of work and crazy happenings...
however good news is that I managed to stay home today and stay away from work today...
Went out to a Singapore restaurant last night with Wayne n Grace, 2 fellow Singaporean friends of mine. we had Fish head curry and proceeded to Pancakes on the rocks for desert. The food at the Singapore restuarant was not bad... pics later...
I have successfully baked Chocolate Merlot Cranberry Brownies... ok they sound sinful... and yes they are as bad as they sound.... imagine Cranberry soaked in Merlot in a richhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh chocolate brownie... cooking is so therapeutic....
the first since i've been back in Sydney... and a very good boost to the ego that kinda need a little help...
Been thinking lately and hoping that I would be able to use my frustrations with certain issues and channel them to make changes for the better. Hmm hopefully this will be another year where i actually meet all my goals...I've stepped it up a whole lot for this year and at this point of time it's looking like its difficult but I guess I just have to be dilligent and persevere. I can only try....
Another realization of how i sometimes suffer from delayed reaction... I walked into a car's towbar last Saturday while talking to a friend and walking in a carpark and only just realized today that I've got a bruise from it.
Blah... this entry is so random and not at all comprehensible... i think i need to stop here...
I'm hoping I can get my car on Monday...

... sigh...
So many things have happened since coming back to Sydney, which would explain the absence of blogging. Sorry to all avid readers...
Work hours have been between the range of 10 and 16 each day... which includes multi-tasking n working the computer hard... One day the computer will give up on me because i'm always cracking the whip...
In 8 days, I have managed to clock 47hrs of OT on top of the normal working hours. That's 5 and a half days of Work!
Hmmm.... come to think of it... How in the world did I do that?
It would be SCARY if computers had feelings and could express them... I wonder what trouble I might get myself into.
Anyway I am blogging tonight because I'm working from home. No electricity at work for the next couple of days... So it's a little more flexible... which would explain the ability to blog!
Meeting tomorrow morning in a cafe and then taking the car down to the dealers to see how much I would get for it as a trade-in. Oh I forgot to mention... New Car coming up! :) I promise I'll show photos when i finally get it...
Got an excellent deal from a friend.... Ohh i'm so excited... I hope they have the colour that I want in stock...... PLSSSS???? Dark Silver would be Brilliant. Soon, I'll say bye to the days of having to manually lock the doors, and remind passengers to remember to lock their doors... gone will be the days of struggling to wind up the window after exiting carparks while trying to drive at the same time before the car behind starts honking their horns! Gone will be the days of brakes locking up! AND gone will be the days of balancing a drink in my lap while I drive, or placing it in the fake cup-holder that so often falls apart when the drink bottle is too heavy...
Anyhoo... Things are generally going well... tracking along too quickly for my liking.... a month's gone from this year...... and the next 11months doesn't seem too far away... Oh alright I'll shush...
Ok... time to go.... need to prepare for the morning meeting. Till later...
