winds between 85km/h n 125km/h
third storm in a month.... it hasnt really stopped raining since 3wks ago......... and its starting to be miserable....
and i didnt get a chance to park in the garage tonight as the rain was to heavy for me to see properly for an awkward position.... so thankfully there arent any big trees nearby... lets just hope the smaller plants hold up.....

its rainy nights like tonight that I am thankful for so many things.... 1. a hooded jacket, 2. a reliable car that i know won't break down on me... 3. Glasses so that I can see the lights from oncoming cars and the road in front of me, despite the heavy downpour, 4. the heater at home, 5. the many layers of blankets, 6. Warm PJs and long johns... Why in the world are they called Long Johns, I have no idea... 7. A ROOF OVER MY HEAD
Long day at work to catch up for the loss last week... the start of another 3 crazy non-stop weeks... so here's hoping I hold up.... Im a lil' hungry but i think i shall not eat now.... I'll just wait till tomorrow morning...
anyway Happy Father's Day to dad for last weekend... i got a little confused cos of the different dates in Sydney n Singapore, therefore the late wishes.... I know I say this time and time again... but Thank you Thank you Thank you... for all that you do...
Should go to bed now.... getting up in 6hrs to go to work again so... i'll sign off here....

So.... i'm finally back to blog...
Benny Hinn's come and gone, and yes ironically, the healing minister comes and I get end up getting sick from running around like a mad woman... well my week kinda started 2 weeks ago without stopping... so by Monday (Queen's birthday) the throat was feeling a little sore, on Tuesday, the roof of my mouth was swollen, the throat felt swollen... and by tuesday noon, i had the sniffles....
I clearly wasn't thinking when i planned this but Wednesday I took the screen production faculty to the Powerhouse Museum for a the SPecial FX exhibition, as well as the other exhibitions that were there... and I even drove into the city... driving back was a nightmare, and wasn;t helped by the peak hour traffic... By then, i was so tired i felt like a drunk... Got back to work and had to walk from my office to the other building and had trouble walking in a straight line... I got to Stephens' desk and by then was 'nua-ing' on the desk ledge cos i was that tired... ok for those who don't understand 'nua-ing', its like..... leaning in a very lazy fashion.... Back-bone-less one would say...
By thursday, the cold got worse... didnt sound as bad but the head was congested and I was getting nasty headaches and nausea from the amount of mucus in the system... I was told to leave the office 5... so I did...
Friday morning, i had planned to go in during the afternoon for the Faculty head meeting but when I got up, I lost my voice and had difficulty communicating with pple over the phone, so i called office to make sure the meeting was still on, and was told not to come in as pple didnt want my germs... By friday noon, i regained my voice... but still nassly and coughing up the lungs... and the same goes for today... was going to go in to work but stayed home instead cos next week onwards, I have a few crazy weeks.... And the housemate and I decided to go catch a movie this evening.... caught Shrek 3... lousy ending and a let down.... but.......... something Kinda funny happened... well i've got mixed emotions about it... its funny yet kinda insulting/upsetting..... i queued and got tickets..... and flashed my housemate's student card so we could get one ticket at a student rate and because I still dont have my student card from Uni yet, I was prepared to pay the adults price... the guy said "OK, that would be $23 thanx..." didnt think much of it, paid and walked away, just as we were about to go up the escalators to go into the cinema, i looked at my tickets and to my shock and horror,
it said "CHILD" grrrrrrrrrrr
Now tell me... do i look like a kid or not? That's what I wore to the movies
actually don't answer that question grrrr... so anyway i msged a few pple and this was the response i got:
1. Don't be insulted - u just saved 5 bucks! Always look on the bright side of life!
2. Take it while you can :~
Hahaha so like I said, i have mixed emotions to it because the guy serving prolly wasn't even that much older than me!!!! and to think i'm turning 22 in august... and yet still mistaken for a kid...... MEOW>......

The weather's been crazy.... strong heavy winds, flash floods, people being washed off in their cars, heavy rains, chilling wind, MASSIVE Surfs...
hmmm some of us staff members went out for dinner at an indian restaurant tonight... and I just got home... Dinner was a farewell for Geoff, Felicity and Therese, as well as a congratulations for my TR n Masters acceptance...
It kinda felt wierd but I had a lovely night... Shared with Pam some beef curry, lamb bryiani, Garlic Naan and a lamb naan... and had 1 1/2 glasses of wine as well as some pappadums...
I'm officially tired... 14hrs over 4 days don't really work... I think i'm just getting old...
Brain's starting to shut down so i shall sign off here... this blog's not comprehensible...

only 4hrs ago, I was still sitting here editing... but now i'm back, recharged with my powernap.... I left my wallet at work thinking "ah i won't need it seeing its so late..." But when I got into the car and was halfway down the wakehurst, I looked up and sure enough, i was going to need my wallet... See, Tuesday's normally cheap petrol day... but because of the crazy hours, I didn't realize yesterday was Tuesday... or should I say Wednesday by the time I realized... My Fuel Indicator was FLASHING at me... So i thought ok... i'll go home, surely I have some cash stashed away somewhere.... i always do.... I get home, n searched for about 10 mins, only to find a single 20 dollar bill... which is not too bad... so this morning before i fell asleep I reminded myself to get petrol on the way to work.... and this morning when I left, I got petrol for $1.35 a litre....grrrrrrrrrrrrrr my Miserable 20 bill gave me only half a tank... oh well... better den a flashing tank... I can feel up next Tuesday, if I remember it is Tuesday...
Amazing how i walked away from the edit 4hrs ago, and came back to view it n it looks much better den i expected! :) I'm kinda satisfied... teaching this morning......
right... think i should sign off here 'cos staff meeting starts in like 5mins....

I got my scissorlift licence today... so now i can operate it on my own!!!

sigh... 1 video almost finished... just exporting at the moment.... if that's ok, then it will be 1 down and 5 to go...

So today would have been perfect for the use of a GPS... i knew there was reason I should get one... hahaha *keep giving yourself reasons michelle...* well maybe in a few months... i might get one for my birthday...
Anyhow, i finally pulled my finger out and went house hunting today... had a list of 16 places to look at but because the timings were all so close and was spread between different suburbs, I ended up only looking at 8... and clocked about 50kms on the car just driving back and forth.... Anyhow out of the 8, i applied for 2 but paid a deposit for 1. A little pricey for my liking, but what can one do? There is a price to pay for 1. apartments that are not too old, 2. security system, 3. Gas cooking, 4. close to ammenities, 5. close to work... 6. not too far from the city... 7. Privacy...
I should hear back on Monday whether I got the place or not....
So the last place that I wanted to look at was on the same street as one of my bosses, and I had initially thought "Oh, maybe Jeff knows them.. maybe they're neighbours or something..." but while driving there, I had a thought that it would have been funny if it was Jeff's place... but i said to myself "nah... jeff's got a tenant downstairs...
So I drive to the street, 15mins before the inspection time, counted the numbers on the houses, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22..... ah 22B is where it is... i looked up..... and sure enough it was Jeff's house.... I couldnt help but burst out laughing... Then I thought, that would have been a funny story for tonight's dinner... hahaha living with the boss...
Then future faculty meetings at Jeff's wouldnt be a big problem even if it was at 6am! hahahaha I'd just have to crawl out of bed... put on nice clothes... brush the hair, wash the face, walk up the steps and THERE I AM! and i don't have to worry about not being able to drink... 'cos i wouldnt have to drive home! hahaha
I got a ride tonight to Jeff's for the faculty dinner... got Stephen to pick me up on the way, so that I could drink hahahaha... no i'm not alcoholic... it's just nice to be able to drink once in a while when u're not at home... Nvm... in a yr I can do that no problem....
We had thai tonight... n the food was nice... although there's probably lots of MSG... 'cos i am so flippin thirsty now.... and i've also noted to myself, never to drink on an empty stomach... worse still, an empty HUNGRY stomach hahaha
Stephen laughed 'cos I don't think he's seen me go so red upon drinking before... in fact his words were "u've even gone a shade of brown" to which my joke was "so maybe when i was really sunburnt, i wasn't sunburnt" hahahaha... I had my coat on in the house too cos i was feeling cold... but aparantly i was hot.... I felt cold but Mr T said i was burning.... this is what i call good circulation hahahahha
Anyhow I made good use of the Mid season sale and bought new kitchen stuff for my new place... saved about $50 on a dinner set that i've always wanted.... White Basics from Maxwells and Williams, Mondo Set... wanted to wait till i moved... but figured it wasnt worth waiting because of the sale... so :) I've been wanting that set for the last 3 yrs... so because I want the GPS system too.... i might wait a few more years? and I need a new monitor for my PC... and a new rice cooker... but I might just get that in Singapore... ordered new pots n pans too... a savings of $170... Hmm I should be set for this new place.... right think its bed time for me.... till laters

hmm.... i either 1. Haven't had enough sleep *which is highly possible* or 2. Stressed *also very highly possible or 3. hormonal changes...
OK the above sounds strange but not as strange as this: I have pimpleSSSS on my forehead... just like in Pri n Sec school days... :(
I hope it doesn't become worse... because that would not be good....
I've never really had pimple problems.... n I'm hoping this is not the start of it :(
