Urrghh... Dial-up really sux... takes like ages to load a page... just that reason alone puts me off updating my blog... ok so here i am after 5 days since my last entry. Sch's started but it's horrible... been waking up at 5am so everyone in the house can get ready on time... and my timetable's just DREADFUl.... so the need of the car's really really bad... i've got 3 little chickens under me... ok not really chickens... juniors in the first yr so i'll be oversee-ing most of their work this year. Feelin a little sick now from dinner... 'cos i had left over hokkien nooddle and an egg with canned curry poured on top of it... yea i know sounds gross but i had no choice... havent had time to do much food shopping or even cook since coming back! Ok so here's a breakdown of what happened...
Sunday night:
Arrived back home in Sydney at 11+pm... got quite a rude shock 'cos my room looked like a typhoon just "visited". And the floor and carpet was just full of hair, powder and worse of all DEAD BUGs... thing is till today i still havent had a chance to vacuum 'cos we havent got a vacuum cleaner and we borrow the landlord's which isn't available all the time. Tried to sleep but ended up only having only 30mins... fell asleep only at 5.30am which is like 2.30am in Perth/Singapore... at 6am the gals were up and bek and her cousin were making pancakes..
Monday:
As i was saying, i was up at 6am, started clearing up all the clothes n what nots on the floor, changed the sheets and cleaned the desk, tv, dresser... Then went to the mall to check and settle some stuff...
Tuesday:
First day of school... as usual, the national anthem of all nationalities.. and of course i was the only Singaporean... Went up and was about to sing the national anthem but because there were two guys who were playin a fool and standing with me, one of the lecturers(steve henderson, music faculty's head) said to hang on and he ran up to the stage and got an amplifier and got me to stand on it so that i'll be taller... SICK... haha all the admin staff n principal and dean were glad to see me back so i got a hug from most pple... got lost in Jeff when he gave me one.. haha
Went to fitness first after college to check their price... i feel so bummed and disappointed... just missed out on the $39.95 a mnth student special! and it's now $69.95... gee... dun think i'll be joining the gym anymore... Had a "vege n pork pao" for dinner.... and lunch was a smoothie plus one quater of a muffin and muesli bar...
Wednesday:
Was told by my dean to see her for 30mins in the morning to talk about my time-table and was so not ready to be in college for a whole day... was looking forward to coming home n cleaning the floors n doing the 4 loads of washing... BUT SHE STRAIGHT AWAY ASSIGNED ME TO THE STUDIOS... n from now on, i finish 5.30pm from 8am every Wednesday for the whole year... wait... there's more... Started working on a tv programme called "Hour of Power"... editing on a linear machine... INTERESTING.. makes me understand concepts of non-linear better... lots to remember and more to do... but oh well... first day of proper sch n brain-overload... Roger was just feeding me so much info that sometimes it just felt like blabs... managed to get a little hold of it and did up the Australian n NZ 1hr broadcast versions...
Also got a "job" for shootng n editing 4 videos throughout the year, one for each season...
Oh anyway, had dinner at Simon and Kaye's. That was nice... some proper food at last...
Thursday:
Started at 8am this morning as well... went straight to the studio and helped set up and shoot a client's job... interesting... though stuff i already learnt but good to work with other pple.. Finished shoot at around 12pm... and then did the "Hour of Power"30min version...
Finished "working/internship" at around 5.50pm and then had the next class at 6.30pm... Tonight's wasn't that bad 'cos it was more of information nite for the little chickens... so had to tell them my experience... got a call from Georgie Kelsey for the 4 video thing job. Doing this season's shoot tomorrow at 12pm... gotta walk down... :( and i still haven't done the vacuuming and washing...
finished briefing the 1st yrs at ard 9.30pm and they all left so it was just me and the faculty head and my lecturers... or should i say past lecturers... 'cos they're not teachin me this year Almost thought i was stuck n couldn't get home... thank God my faculty head could take me home... he lives about 1hr 15mins drive away frm the sch... CRAZY...So he dropped me off...
Anyways... that's about it for me this week...
First week n everyone's cruizing... BUT NOT FOR ME...
One of my major projects that the sch's thinkin of passing to me to handle is a US$800k project...
STRESSFUL MAN... sigh... too early to think of that... we'll see what happens but as it is, i'm already tired in the first week... not a good sign...
