A big thank you to all who wished me well for my birthday... yes i'm getting old...
i was busy with work... thus not being able to update this blog sooner... had a documentary to finish on the colleges that's going to be a special feature on the Presence DVD. Talk about pressure huh... plus... it had to be done in a 12days...
kinda got forced to add credits to it as well... 'cos Pam (the Dean) said so... so yes i've got my face and name in the credits...
Pam and I calculated in the 12days working on the Documentary, I did 26hours of shooting, and 152hrs of Editing... plus the 3-4hrs of sleep a night and another hr or so for meals, plus 30mins for driving to and fro, that was pretty impressive. Good to hear that they were happy with my direction... with little major changes made. Just politics that caused some minor changes... all the major people have seen it and there'll be viewing on this Tuesday in School...
Hmm seems like i'm workin on all the big stuff this yr... editing shows that go on air around the world weekly and Directing n editing a showreel of college worth 5mins that's going around the world on all dvds too... add another 2mins worth of video and we could even enter it in TropFest...
We calculated the actual budget that this documentary would cost and it would have been done in 4wks, with a AUD$60,000 bill... we did it in 12days, with $400.
Anyway... i reckon the rest of the time that was unaccounted for in those days went to my birthday celebration... THe girls organized dinner with Hayden's help. It meant alot 'cos it was the first day in close to 2 wks that i was home for dinner for once and the fact that there was mood lighting at home, with Boys 2 men playin in the background... and gado gado n mee goreng... what more could i ask for... and the company of friends. The day was quite interesting in college too with everyone wishing me in the midst of me running around trying to get the documentary done. Kesty (Jeff's PA) made an announcement and got me to stand up in front of everyone in chapel and close to 250students sang HAppy birthday... I WAS QUITE EMBARRASED.
Since then, i've had many comments. Jacque Rao said she looks at me differently now that she knows i'm only a baby... everyone for some reason thinks i'm 25?
Jeff and Pam gave me a birthday card and 4 movie tickets as a thank you for the documentary so that was quite nice. Pam said she wants to nail my feet to the ground so that i cannot go anywhere next year...
I was calculating last nite... 20more weeks or so till the end of the year... so if i were to leave for good... that would mean... there isn't alot of time left? So where am i going from here i wonder... time seems to be ticking away...
But for now... i shall go back to research for my research paper and my ethics paper due in a few weeks... and to complete another 9 videos sitting on my desk waitin to be edited...
Here's some of the gifts i got...
Bedroom slippers from Christie (Hayden's Sister)

Desk ornament from Anita

Keychain from Ivone and Angelcheeks ornament from Beth

Pillowcase from Hayden plus mariah's latest album

So to all who wished me well... THANK YOU ONCE AGAIN...
At the end of the day, it is not gifts that matter but friendships formed...
