ok... for those who've been wondering why i haven't updated in a while... here's a very good reason why. MY DAMN COMPUTER IS DEAD AGAIN... n it's costing me a $150 bucks to get it fixed... grrrrrrr... secondly, Solomon was here visiting from Singapore so whenever i wasn't in class, we'd be out somewhere... i'm just having a very lazy afternoon today to recover from the week. I borrowed Anita's second laptop so i could write abit... and more importantly check my mail and plan the day. Speaking of which, i still have 1/2 of the apple crumble i made last night....
So here's a quick re-cap of the week... and pics will be up when my computer comes back to me... it's already taken a whole week :(
Last Sat night, picked solomon from the airport after service...
Sunday morning, we went to Pancakes on the rocks for brunch, walked along the rocks market, Solomon did some shopping, and on the way back to the car which was a gd hour walk away, he popped into a couple of shops... we then headed back, in time to change and go to church... It was a very long service 'cos Theo Wolmarens was visiting.... Service started at 6pm n apparantly finished at 10.15pm... i left at 10pm 'cos we were starving... Took Solomon to KebabWorld in Dee Why, where u could find the best kebabs... sat there and ate, and as usual when service ended, a few people that i knew rocked up to get their meals too... After dinner, we went to Dee why beach... and sat around... got home around 12pm... n had a chat till ard 2am... and at the same time, we watched United's new live album recording... i bought it with my 80+ voucher from college last year. SO i still have a 50+ credit there...
Monday, took the computer into the shop for assessment of the damage, took Solo to Tarocash where Bernice works, he bought a pair of pants... and he walked around the mall till Anita picked him up. I had to leave early to go teach my class... after class, i came home, got changed and we took off into the city for dinner at the revolving tower at Centrepoint... Had a seafood feast... think i had a serve of oyesters n 3 serves of prawns to myself... Solo tried camel n kangaroo meat...
Tuesday, we had college in the morning.... Theo was a special guest and i directed... umm we then went to the gym in the arvo... we met Bonar and Anita and drove to Bankstown for dinner... had vietnamese noodles... came back and they went to the supermarket... while i went back to college to supervise the second years on their shoot... stayed till Craig arrived and went home as i was already buggered by then and was driving to the Blue Mountains on WEd morn. Apparantly the shoot went till 5am on Wed...
Wed morning, we left at 7am and started our journey to the Blue mountains... weather was pathetic... it was raining and i was hoping it would be better when we got there... Solo slept throughout the 2hr drive while i battled to keep my eyes open and drive safely as the roads were wet... and it was really foggy up there... visibility with my lights were only about a 100m... We both went up as heros, in 3/4 pants and a t-shirt and in Solo's case... a singlet... i forgot we werent in the summer season anymore and the temperature up there was about 17deg that day hahaha... the fog started to clear only around 11am... but still was bad... we did however see the 3 sisters, did the rainforest walk... and took some pics... We somehow figured on Tues that Solo knew Beth my old housemate.. so we headed back into sydney around 2pm... and went to the Factory outlets near beth's house... we did a bit of a shopping. well to be exact, an hr's long... 'cos we arrived ard 4pm and the shops closed at 5pm... Had a bit of coffee and solo had a muffin... we then visited beth, andrew n zach... n andrew gave me a "present"... hahaha Left their house around 7.30pm and then headed to Chatswood for dinner...
Thurs morn, solo sat in Jeff and Pst phil's class... we went to the beach for a tan in the Afternoon, came home, picked up Anita and bOnar, went and did abit of a shop so he could experience late night shopping... i ended up buying a 5 piece for $100 'cos i needed it for the Thai trip in may.... the 3 piece luggaes had missing pieces... and most of the 5 piece ones were missing too... I then took them into town and walked around Darling Harbour, and went to Astral Lounge for a drink... we left
around 10.30pm.... and headed home
Friday was just a slow day... we woke up late.. had lunch at Coffee club at the mall, did a bit of a grocery shop... and then came home, cooked... and went straight to the airport... after which, me and Bonar met Anita in the city to listen to a live band play... IT was really good.... got home ard 12.20am but...
Oh bought 3 DVDs earlier... VideoEZY's going through a renovation and were selling their dvds each at $7.95... Got Cinderella Man, Mr n Mrs Smith and The Island... good buy... anyway, its time for me to go... need to get changed...
