well well well...
First of all to all my readers, Merry Christmas...
Another year's gone... and this one's special because its my first Christmas away from the family... I've just experienced a traditional English Christmas in Australia with the Wallington Family and the Queens family (who are Simon's sister n brother in law's family).
I got up around 7.30, got to church at 8.30, had a one hr service from 9-10am, got to Christa's at 11am and exchanged pressies before the lunch...
For lunch, we had a glass of champange n wine, Watermelon/Prawn/Chilli Salad, Traditional Turkey with Cranberry and stuffings, Ham and roast vegies... Coffee/Tea/ Rocky Road/ Ginger Bread/ LOTS AND LOTS OF CHOCOLATE...
Then we played cricket in the back yard...
My first ever! and i'm quite a good bowler... and when Simon hit a bat, it flew right into my left tigh... still no bruising yet but it sure does hurt... not a whole lot... :)
We then went back indoors and had Tradition Christmas Pudding with BRandy butter, Brandy Cream, Custurd and Caramel Pecan Ice cream...
Also my first real Christmas pudding...
We then went bush walking... the ladies thought it might be a 45mins walk but the guys had other ideas... the hike on a dirt trail ended up taking 2 and a half hrs!!!
Got back to the wallingtons', had dinner, which was Roast Pork, Salad, more chocolate, Ginger bread, rocky road and Austrian Christmas cookies... then it was a game of Monopoly, in which my team is on the winning end... the game will be continued tomorrow... with or without me there. I haven't decided if I'm going to work..... Plus there is the boat races tomorrow...
Gosh... so many new experiences, the meeting of new people and of course, lots of fun and love... so I am blessed... Admitedly, it would be nice to be with family... but I guess u make do when u are overseas... Hey at least I got a chance to experience a traditional English Christmas... Maybe next year I might have an Aussie Christmas Experience... BBQ and Seafood I heard... we'll see... :)
Anywayz... bed time for me....
Good night and merry christmas to one and all... :)
